  Great surf team that is perfect for intermediate surfers! Went to 3 different places in 4 days which was very nice and chilled with some of the instructors for nice sunset spots.   I spent the whole two weeks with this silly and skillful team at Kuta Lombok Surf school.

I’d recommend this team in a heart beat. Aquila is a respected surfer/ leader in this area, and you can tell by how other local surf sherpas as I’d like to call them follow his lead.

I would recommend this to surfers of all skills - beginner to advanced.

Note: here in Lombok, you shouldn’t go out on your own searching for waves. All breaks we had to take a boat out further into the ocean. Surf schools arrange hotel pick up/drop off, and boat rides, AND stay with you to ensure you can catch as many waves as possible. They also have an in-house photographer Melody, which comes at an additional cost.

Highlight was our weekend trip to a beach that’s about an hour and a half away from town. They brought fish and grilled it for us and that was quite an interesting experience.

  “I don't like customers just asking to get info only” was the last message I got from them.

I asked the same questions to other schools also and this was the definitely the worst approach I have seen in Kuta so far, not booking a single session with them and would not recommend to anyone neither.

As clients we are here to ask questions to learn. Not receive disrespectful messages

  As a beginner surfer this was an absolutely awful experience. On the first wave I rode I was pushed far away into the ocean by a wave and spent the entire rest of the lesson trying to paddle back to the group in the middle of the sea and was not supported at all. I was told I should have booked a private surf lesson if I can’t paddle well. I have done surf lessons elsewhere and was able to actually stand and ride plenty of waves. Horrible experience and I was treated like it was my fault that they wouldn’t teach me anything. Do not recommend.

  We met those guys randomly at a beach far away from Lombok with their group of surfers.

We wanted to surf but couldnt find a rental and they were helping us with everything with the locals.
They even invited us for grilled fish and rice at the beach.

They are fun and helped the beginners in that group with everything.
Just go with them they are funny, super friendly and just good people.

  I had a really great time having lessons with Aqila and Billy.
They took us to different surf spots on different days, making sure we are all catching waves suitable to our levels.

Originally just booked 2 lessons but went for one more lesson with them as they are really good!

